DAZN Secures H Cup Streaming Rights For 6 Major Countries

DAZN will be streaming the Heineken Champions Cup and European Rugby Challenge Cup exclusively to audiences in Canada, Germany, Austria, Japan, Switzerland and Italy for the next four seasons, starting this week.

DAZN will broadcast every round of the Heineken Champions Cup pool stage, its quarter-finals, semi-finals and final, as well as selected pool stage matches, all quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final of the European Challenge Cup.

EPCR director general, Vincent Gaillard said: “The Heineken Champions Cup is a premium tournament at the very pinnacle of club rugby across the world, so this partnership with an innovative streaming provider of sport in DAZN is excellent news for fans across these different territories.

“As European club rugby goes from strength to strength, so access to the live action also improves and adds a high-quality viewing experience to the best possible on-field product.

“The exposure of the Challenge Cup in Italy is particularly vital to fans there, as we have seen excellent developments there recently for their clubs participating in that tournament this season.”
