We’ve estimated that there are 8,000 full-time jobs in rugby in the UK and Ireland. Many thousands more are employed on a part-time basis.

In this section we aim to monitor the major personnel moves and changes within the industry as well as provide an insight into the working lives of prominent individuals within the game of rugby.

The career moves of players and coaches are well documented elsewhere. However, we look behind the scenes at the make-up of committees and boards, the managers and commercial leaders in rugby organisations. We try not to overlook corporate partners and the growing service and supply sector to the sport including; lawyers, agents, consultants, sponsors, journalists and sports marketers.

Finance Business Partner - Lawn Tennis Association

To support the Finance Business Manager (FBM) in the production of month end accounts, quarterly reforecasts, annual budgets and 4 year plans, and ad-hoc analysis as required; to work closely with departmental managers and budget holders to develop their financial understanding and to assist them in monitoring actuals versus budgeted activity and to help them identify risks and opportunities within their budgets.

Key responsibilities:

- To act as a finance partner to departmental managers in managing their budgets and to develop their financial understanding.
- To perform the month end management accounts process including posting of journals for accruals, deferrals and general ledger transactions.
