We’ve estimated that there are 8,000 full-time jobs in rugby in the UK and Ireland. Many thousands more are employed on a part-time basis.
In this section we aim to monitor the major personnel moves and changes within the industry as well as provide an insight into the working lives of prominent individuals within the game of rugby.
The career moves of players and coaches are well documented elsewhere. However, we look behind the scenes at the make-up of committees and boards, the managers and commercial leaders in rugby organisations. We try not to overlook corporate partners and the growing service and supply sector to the sport including; lawyers, agents, consultants, sponsors, journalists and sports marketers.

The Performance Programs Manager will lead development and manage the implementation of world leading player development programs and systems with a specific focus on U16, U18, U20 and Women’s Programs. The role will work in conjunction with the Performance Solutions Manager to provide expert analysis, advice and guidance to athletes and implement identified performance solutions throughout the player development programs.
Having led and managed projects on a national or state level for a minimum of 2 years, you will be well practiced in change management as well as delivering and evaluating new programs. The role requires excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to work with a diverse group of stakeholders and influence them to move towards best practice.
