Scottish Rugby has appointed Scotland’s solicitor general Lesley Thomson to its board, making her the first woman ever to sit on the board. The role will report to the Integrated Marcomms Manager. The role sits within a fully integrated Communications and Marketing department. The candidate must be experienced in understanding and developing stakeholder relationships and working within a complex stakeholder environment. They must have knowledge of UK parliamentary and political systems, with strong contacts across Westminster and Whitehall. They must have a proven record of working and engaging with national and local government; experience within London Boroughs and local councils would be advantageous.
